Vitoria-Gasteiz

Vitoria-Gasteiz is an attractive, accessible city. With a population of 250,000 and a stupendous quality of life, its innovative urban development and numerous green zones – like the renowned “green ring” – the Salburua wetlands on the very outskirts or famous parks like El Prado or La Florida make Álava the ideal destination to enjoy meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions tourism 

It is one of the few cities in the country that conserve a practically intact old town that has been integrated in a seamless, organic manner with the other more innovative urban components. Places like the squares of the Virgen Blanca, Matxete and Los Fueros reveal the character of the city and the respect and care with which the most iconic areas are treated by the citizens and local institutions. 

The venue for events par excellence is the Europa Conference and Exhibition Centre. This complex has hosted more than 4,500 conferences and other events. The complex is endowed with some twenty meeting rooms, various exhibition areas and the Francisco de Vitoria Auditorium, a great hall with capacity for 450 people. The Villa Suso Palace dates from the 16th century and is located in the Plaza de Matxete. After a respectful refurbishment that conserves the Renaissance-style structure intact, it forms a singular space in salon mode for gatherings of up to 220 guests. You will also find the Montehermoso Palace without leaving the old quarter. Another Renaissance-style building, today it is conceived as a cultural and exhibition centre with various multi-purpose spaces, projection rooms and 1,500 square metres of gardens available for functions. 

In addition to these facilities, the city can provide a wide variety of hotels in which to hold events and find accommodation. Rioja Alavesa

Vitoria-Gasteiz is not only an attraction in itself but is also surrounded by a unique region – the Rioja Alavesa – that can boast of producing some of the world’s best wines.
